If you are writing a PhD dissertation you no doubt have a lot of work ahead of you and may need some guidance getting started. No one will ever stick to their regular study/write plan perfectly. Things will come up and emergencies will arise. That is why you need to include some “catch up” time in your schedule somewhere so that you can make up any time you lost.
